Ive been working on my childrens books. I now have 4 childrens books in the making. Ive been working on more charater concepts for my novel to go along with Dovian. I also am in the system for a publishing company. When they get children's books, i'm on the illustrator contact list so hopefully ill get some work through them sometime.
but as for the last two days, I've been busy contacting people through phone, text messaging and facebook. Had a friend pass away yesterday morning, Stephanie. She died in a car accident. Sad thing is, she wasn't driving, she was asleep in the back seat and was thrown from the car. died upon impact. ive contacted over 138 people about it. the funeral will be on wednesday at 10 AM at the catholic church in halstead. its just kinda weird. i keep waiting for her to jump out of a bush and say, "Ha! Just kiddin! Wanted to see what you'd do if you thought i was dead!!!" ...cause i can see her doing that. But after one day, now i realize it is true and its sinking in. I'm mostly upset about how it happened and the bad luck of it all. She always wore her seatbelt, but not this time. it was her sisters car, she was supposed to be the only one driving it. she got tired, another guy was driving it. he hydroplaned and they hit the center median. Both of the guys in the driver and passenger seat were fine. it just really makes you realize how stupid and easy it is to die. how sudden it is, and how fragile it is. and while driving home to halstead, we almost wrecked 2 because of other dumbasses. one guy cut us off cause he wanted to cross to the other side of the interstate on the 'emergency vehicle only' road that connects the two. the second time, there was a tire in the middle of the road, we were surrounded by vehicles on all sides. we dodged fine. but because everyone was riding each other's asses, a car behind me hit it, got hit by a semi cause he swerved into traffic and took about the whole group behind us. It was cars as far as you could see and in seconds, there was no one behind us. im sure it was a nasty pile up.
but i wasnt even home for twenty minutes when my other friend ashley came inside my moms house cause she saw our car and told me the news. she had just gotten back from her grandmas funeral too. its just weird. but i opened up groups on facebook and did all i could to tell as many people as possible. but anyways, ive got cookies to make for the family and ive got to get to bed. so ill see you later and ill post something soon.

I'm glad that you weren't hurt, because I would cry if you ever got hurt. I love you so much!! I've never really met you in person but you are such a good friend to me. I'm so glad that you made it in one piece.

Wow, that was a lucky break... but the guy with the semi, whoops. Makes you think that you were seconds away from a terrible crash yourself... God dang. I'm glad I live in a little town outside of Corpus Christi and not actually IN Corpus or else... cause you hear about 10 wrecks a day here on the news...
